I actually deal with Living Social often for a long time now and i purchase voucher deals from them for different merchants. I called them twice to get refunds on vouchers for various reasons. The first time, the merchant didn't want to honor
I purchased a deal with Living Social, two photo Canvas prints), one of which was a gift for my parents. When we tried to use the voucher it didn't work, I contacted them and the company but had no reply. I know other people have used the site
I honestly had no issues with this site whatsoever. I ordered a pair of women's snow boots, and got exactly what I ordered. The boots were nicer than what I expected, judging from LivingSocial's pictures of them. The site is a sister site o

They are not that bad. They have some decent offers, good partnership with Groupon, bought few good local deals in here, don't bother shopping travel or goods on living social, they tend to be over priced.

I got a great deal on a jewelry making class from living social. I saved over 50% on the normal rate, and had a great experience. That was my second living social purchase, and both were just fine.
